This is the story of the sweetest girl ever and the monsters under her bed.
“You’re here.
I feel you in my bones
frozen by fear
I cannot move
nor find my voice
I do not know
oh what to do
I know I will
somehow break through”
So I ask her, softly whispering: “Sweet, sweet, sweetest girl ever, what is this you are fearing?”
“Everything…”, she says, “I’m shaking…”
“I thought it was over
now so much closer
when will it end?
this monster, I’ll need to befriend…”
I reach out my hand, and call out her name…
“You know you are safe,
monsters don’t stay.
Fear will fade,
it’s all just the same.
You’re safe to come out
now listen to me
with your heart out loud:
I’ll kiss you ‘til
you’re warm inside
Will tuck you in
a lullaby
softly swinging
on the rhythm of the sea
remember the water
the winds and to breathe
rocked on the waves
floating and free
once you let go,
your thoughts on the shore
that’s when there’ll be
monsters no more
You’ll fall into deep
a place of peace
a trust you will know
it’s all within
you’re held by the flow
Never again
shall you feel defeat
by worry or fear
or the monsters beneath
we’ll switch the Light on
a song to sing
and you will see
From now on…
Love is the king”
This is the story of the sweetest girl ever and the monsters under her bed.
Late at night, frightened by their presence, she couldn’t chase them away.
Later in life, as they came back, she needed to face them – day after day.
Only to witness that, below the surface, love is truly all there is,
and so too, as life would show, love will always guide her Home.
